Auto Search Help

The companies search allows you to search for automotive companies within the UK Auto Industry sector. The companies search form comprises of six fields which are :

1. 'Company name' - Type a company name , or part of the company name into the field.
2. 'Company type' - This is a select box, click the arrow on the right to get a drop down list of company types. The default is set to search all. Select one from the drop down list to search for that type.
3. 'Component type' - In this field type the name of any components the company you are searching for manufacture.
4. 'Region' - This is a pull down list of all the regions you can search in. The default is 'all regions', but by selecting a particular region from the list you can search just within that region.
5. 'Product & Service Categories' - This select box has a pull down list of company activities. By default this will search all of the activities. To search for a company who participates in a certain activity, select it from the list.
6. 'Products & Services' - This select box will display a list of product groups. Select an appropriate product group or simply keep the default which is to search all groups.
7. 'Exclude Professional Services' - When this check box is selected, all companies that are classed as professional services will be excluded from the results. This check box is enabled by default so you will need to un check it if you wish to include professional services within your search.
8. 'Exclude companies with fewer than 5 employees' - When this check box is selected, all companies that have less than 5 employees will be excluded from the results. This check box is enabled by default so you will need to un check it if you wish to include companies with fewer than five employees within your search.
9. 'Show Region' - By enabling this check box, you can choose to display the region the company is in, next to the companies name in the search results.
10. 'Show Type' - By enabling this check box, you can choose to display the type of company, next to the companies name in the search results.
11. 'Show Telephone' - By enabling this check box, you can choose to display the companies phone number, next to the companies name in the search results.
12. 'Show Hidden Companies' - By enabling this check box you can choose to display any hidden companies. These will be companies that have been hidden because they are fictitious and were created for testing purposes only.

Once you have completed the search form, click the 'Perform Search' to start searching.
