Rolls-Royce Motor Cars to offer smaller model by 2010

29th September 2006

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars will extend its range with a smaller car than the Phantom by 2010, Autowired reported yesterday, saying design work had already started on the new range which would sell for a price lower than the Phantom’s but not compete head-on with Bentley’s £105,000 Continental GT. Autowired’s corporate source did not confirm whether the new Rolls-Royce would share a platform or components with any BMW model. A planning application to extend the Goodwood factory has already been sent to the local authority.
