IBM announces agreement extension PACT
24th November 2009
IBM has announced a three year extension to a ten year agreement helping the DVLA to transform service delivery to its
customers.
The agreement, which will now run until September 2015, is know as Partners Achieving Change Together (PACT).
IBM is responsible for the development and implementation of a range of business transformation and systems integration
projects. It is also responsible for DVLA’s technical infrastructure and ongoing operation, maintenance and support.
A key aspect will be to deliver a sturdy and flexible IT architecture that will support a move to emerging cross-
government architectures and further improve service quality and the customer experience.
Brendon Riley, Chief Executive of IBM UK and Ireland, said, DVLA is recognised as being at the forefront of the
government's service transformation agenda. This extension provides the opportunity to build upon past successes.
