GP Automotive launches online parts trading initiatives

19th October 2006

GP Automotive, one of the UK’s ‘warehouse’ wholesale aftermarket distributors, has invested a six-figure sum in a new IT and communications system with IT provider MAM software which will integrate the latter’s Autopart cataloguing and Autonet online trading systems into the business.

Using Autopart, many of GP Automotive’s business practices are automated including managing sales processes and controlling stock. The system has been tailored to suit GP’s specific business requirements and the company also has access to location tracking, logistics partner management and the new express shipping interface.

GP Automotive is also using the services of the newly formed PACT initiative including ABS e-Parts, TecCom and AConneX, which provides other system users with online catalogue searching, electronic ordering and invoicing.
