8th September 2006
The final meeting of the BSI PAS 125 steering group took place on 6th September at BSI headquarters in Chiswick, resulting in the final sign off of the New standard for collision repair suppliers after agreement from all parties. The next stage is publication of the document on 25th October.
Jason Moseley, Director of Quality & Business Systems at Thatcham, said, “Thatcham and BSI have received overwhelming support from all members of the steering group who have concentrated their efforts on producing a viable technical standard for crash repair and have completed this complex exercise in the original time frame, solely due to their dedication and commitment.”
PAS 125 standard sponsors include EurotaxGlass’s, The Institute of Automotive Engineer Assessors (IAEA), Automotive Skills, The Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI), Audatex and the Auto Body Professionals (ABP) Club. Development of the kitemark assement scheme continues on schedule and is due for launch as planned in February 2007.
